I am very excited to announce the merger with Gilt Groupe is finally complete. We gathered the best parts of Decorati, most importantly our interior designer portfolios and product catalogs, and ported them to the new GiltHome.com site.  Decorati.com will eventually forward to GiltHome.com. At the bottom of this note you can read more about what’s next for your Decorati account and what you can find on the new Gilt Home– I think you’ll love it!

With Bunny Williams at Gilt Home Press Preview

I don’t want to the noise about Madonna, whom I admire, and her less than complimentary remarks about hydrangeas, which I also love.  Hydrangeas remind me of summers on Shelter Island when I was little, and they typically seem to come in my favorite color palette of soft blues, whites, and lavenders. I like it that they are a little floppy and soft. They fill space wonderfully in photo shoots.

Dear Decorati Members,

As you recall, New York-based Gilt Groupe acquired Decorati.com in March 2011 (see Press Release or “Decorati: The Next Chapter”). Over the last several months, we have been busy preparing to launch the new Gilt Home site this fall. I have enjoyed personally speaking with so many of you regarding feedback and ideas for the new site. Thank you for your time and enthusiasm. I can’t wait to show you what we’ve put together when we launch later this fall.

The new site will offer full priced merchandise, as well as flash sales, antiques, and one-of-a-kind items. What’s particularly exciting is that Gilt is one of the fastest growing sites around, with millions of fiercely loyal members, some of whom come to the site regularly to check out what’s new. Our goal is to merge the best parts of Decorati with the Gilt platform to provide the first stop for shopping for home online.

For our consumer members, the new Gilt Home will provide unprecedented access to the best in design, including products for every room, rich editorial and thousands of inspirational room photos.

For our interior designer members, the new site will provide the opportunity to gain exposure for your business to the millions of Gilt customers, a much larger stage than anything the interior design industry has seen before. For our manufacturer members, we are very excited to discuss curating a collection with you to sell online, and/or maintain an updated catalog for designers.

What should you do before the launch?
If you are a consumer, don’t worry about a thing. Just enjoy Decorati and we’ll be sure to let you know when the new Gilt Home site launch happens. For now, you may enjoy checking out the current Gilt Home site, which offers amazing products at up to 70% off retail.

To both our designer and manufacturer members, the best thing you can do to take advantage of the Gilt Home opportunity is to log into your Decorati account as soon as possible
